Clean Energy Industry Tax Credit Stiumulus Package in US Senate
In January, 2008, the US Senate Finance Committee reported an economic stimulus package that included language to extend tax credits for energy efficiency and renewable energy, such as wind, solar and geothermal power. In addition, the Senate may also take up a provision to fund training for green-collar jobs on the floor of the Senate.
Property-Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing authorization
According to the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC), the federal stimulus bill of 2009 facilitated the creation of Property-Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) programs, which allow local governments to offer low-interest "loans" to property owners to help pay the upfront costs of permanent, renewable energy improvements on the property.
DOE to Invest $18 Million in Small Business Clean Energy Innovation Projects
November 23, 2009 -- U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu today announced more than $18 million in funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to support small business innovation research, development, and deployment of clean energy technologies. In this first phase of funding, 125 grants of up to $150,000 each will be awarded to 107 small advanced technology firms across the United States.

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct05) Loan Guarantees for Commercial Use
The Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct05) authorizes the U.S. Department of Energy to issue loan guarantees to eligible projects that "avoid, reduce, or sequester air pollutants or anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases" and "employ new or significantly improved technologies as compared to technologies in service in the United States at the time the guarantee is issued".
